Effective Speaking and Debate Team
The effective speaking and debate team will be starting soon! If you'd like to learn about preparing speeches, building strong arguments for debates and techniques to deliver your information to others, this team is for you. Not only will you learn about speeches and debates, but also develop key communication skills that can help with school projects, interviews and future opportunities. No experience is required and you will be taught everything you need to know in a constructive and judgement free environment. We are currently looking for the number of cadets who are interested with more information to come and planning to start around November. Meetings will be on Thursday nights from 18:30-20:00 at Hillcrest public school. If you're thinking of joining, please email Sgt Wright (wright2benjamin@gmail.com). Cadet CO-OP Credit
Hello Everyone, The Training Year Cadet Co-Op program is back! Please find attached the registration form, as well as some FAQs. These FAQs will come in handy with potential questions from parents. A few things to pass along: -Cadets are highly encouraged to speak with their school guidance counsellor to ensure participation in the cadet co-op program is a right fit for them and their pathway -There is no cost to cadets, parents, school boards, or the corps/squadron -Although the program has "UCDSB" logos on the forms, the program is open to all cadets in Ontario regardless of which school board they are a student with, as long as they are a resident of Ontario, and have a minimum of 1 high school credit already obtained, or will obtain a minimum of 1 credit by June 2024. UCDSB simply runs the program for the ministry. Corps/ Squadrons are asked to share this opportunity with cadets and parents. If you have any questions, please direct them to cadetcoop@ucdsb.on.ca
