Role of the SSC:
The role of the SSC is to assist in raising funds for training and providing support and other assistance to the Commanding Officer and staff of the squadron. The SSC support the squadron through various forms of voluntary involvement, raising funds for training, and the provision of extra activities and supplies for cadet activities.
What is the SSC?
The Squadron Sponsoring Committee (SSC) represents the local civilian side of the Air Cadet Program
which works in partnership with the squadron staff, Department of National Defence and the Canadian Armed Forces to ensure the viability of the squadron. The SSC is made up of dedicated volunteers such as parents, members of service clubs such as the Air Force Association of Canada, or simply members of the community who want to play a role in the success of the 102 Air Cadet Squadron.
How can you help?

Get involved! We are always looking for parent volunteers who are willing to commit a few hours of their time during the cadet year to help support cadet activities.

There are many opportunities in the SSC. Some of the opportunities include Executive positions as well as canteen help, driving for tagging, organizing fundraisers just to name a few.

No prior skill is needed! The more volunteers we have the better! All help is greatly appreciated and makes a HUGE difference in the success of the cadet program.

All members of the SSC, staff and volunteers who have an active role within the squadron are screened under the Vulnerable Sector Screening Guidelines.

Many SSC members are present on parade nights, please come chat with us if you would like any information regarding who and what we do!
