Spares, and those who are not attending the competition: Please come for 1800, but you may be picked up early if everyone shows up (no later than 1900hrs) as there will be fewer chances for you to be added to the flight leading up to the competition. Remember the competition is coming up on April 27th!

Supply: Will be open this Sunday (7 April). You can make an appointment for a 20-minute time slot here! Be Sure To Bring Your Uniform Parts. Please monitor your email for any updates.

Band: There will be a band practice this Sunday (7 April) from 1800 – 2100hrs at the Armoury.

The dress for Monday, April 8th will be C2.

Debate Team: There is a debate team practice on April 9th from 1800-2030 at Warnica P.S.

Spring Tagging: 102 Squadron will be conducting our spring tagging fundraiser next weekend (Apr 12-14). All cadets are required to complete a minimum of 3 shifts. Four shifts are necessary if you would like to participate in next year’s recreational trip! Tagging is how the squadron funds the majority of its activities, so it’s essential that everyone does their part. We are also looking for parents to be able to drive cadets to and from there locations. Click here for more information and to sign up!

Attention: Level 1s, as well as any cadets fast-tracked to level 2 and 3, who have not previously attended PSRY training. To advance to your next level, be promoted, or be considered for summer training placements, you must attend mandatory training. This PSRY course is a part of your mandatory training.

The PSRY training will take place Monday, April 22nd from 1000-1500hrs at the Armoury. Please sign up here to indicate any dietary restrictions and so we know how much food to order.

Dress is appropriate civilian clothing. Lunch will be provided. Please bring snacks and a refillable water bottle. If you cannot attend this PSRY course, you must reach out to the CO to request an excusal.

Spring FTX: The Spring FTX is coming up May 10-12th. Timings will be confirmed next week when the signup is posted. Signup deadline is 24th April (no exceptions). All cadets must attend at least one FTX per year, but it’s better to attend more than one!

All level 3s and 4s must attend this FTX to complete mandatory training. You must speak with your level officer if you are unable to attend.

The weather promises to be spring/summer-like, all that you will require beyond the normal kit (list will be provided with the sign-up) is sleeping stuff (sleeping bag or blankets), and a pillow…we will provide the food, accommodations, training and FUN!!!

Refillable Water Bottles: All cadets should bring a refillable water bottle to the armoury every parade night. Water coolers are available for refills. Disposable water bottles are available for purchase at canteen.

Do you still have OPC tickets? Here is a list of all cadets with overdue tickets. OPC tickets are late!! If you still have some, please bring them back ASAP.

Gliding: Our first spring gliding day will be on Sunday, May 5th. There are only 60 spots available, so the first priority will go to those who have the highest attendance at mandatory training events and have never been gliding before. Busses will leave the Armoury at 0700hrs and we estimate a return time of 1645hrs. Lunch will be provided. If you have dietary restrictions, you must signup NLT APRIL 19th. See OCdt Malichen-Reid with any questions. Sign up here.

Remind: Sign up for SMS or email reminders, so you never miss important updates from 102 Squadron. Click here to sign up for Remind. Note: Rogers Canada and its subsidiaries no longer support SMS messages from Remind. You can still receive messages via email or the Remind app.

Monday night parades are mandatory, and attendance is required to complete level training and be considered for promotions. If you cannot attend a parade night, make sure to report your absence as far in advance as possible using this form. Please do not email to report an absence.
