📢Monday April 15th

Spring Tagging: 102 Squadron will be conducting our spring tagging fundraiser this weekend (Apr 12-14). All cadets are required to complete a minimum of 3 shifts. Four shifts are necessary if you would like to participate in next year’s recreational trip! Tagging is how the squadron funds the majority of its activities, so it’s essential that everyone does their part. We are also looking for parents to be able to drive cadets to and from their locations. Click here for more information and to sign up!  Please note: We are tagging out of the Bayfield Mall. See the info page for more details.

WE NEED VOLUNTEER DRIVERS! WE CANNOT TAG WITHOUT ENOUGH DRIVERS! PARENTS, IF YOU ARE AVAILABLE, PLEASE SIGN UP TO BE A DRIVER!

Drill Team: There will be a practice this Saturday from 1800-2000hrs at the Armoury (after tagging). This practice will be in full uniform. Spares, and those who are not attending the competition: Please stay for the practice, but you may be picked up early if everyone shows up (no later than 1900hrs) as there will be fewer chances for you to be added to the flight leading up to the competition. If you did not receive an email from WO2 Horner this Tuesday (9 April), please send him an email (102seniors@gmail.com)!

The dress for Monday, April 15th will be Civilian Business Casual or 102 Squadron Spirit Wear

Debate Team: There is a debate team practice on April 16th from 1800-2030 at Warnica P.S.

Gliding: Our first spring gliding day will be on Sunday, May 5th. There are only 60 spots available, so the priority will go to those who have the highest attendance at mandatory training events and have never been gliding before. Busses will leave the Armoury at 0700hrs, and we estimate a return time of 1645hrs. Lunch will be provided. If you have dietary restrictions, you must signup NLT APRIL 19th. See OCdt Malichen-Reid with any questions. Sign up here.

PSRY: Level 1s, and any new cadets who were fast-tracked to level 2 or 3, who have not previously attended PSRY training: To advance to your next level, be promoted, or be considered for summer training placements, you must attend mandatory training. This PSRY course is a part of your mandatory training.

The PSRY training will take place Monday, April 22nd from 1000-1500hrs at the Armoury. Please sign up here to indicate any dietary restrictions, and so we know how much food to order.

Dress is appropriate civilian clothing. Lunch will be provided. Please bring snacks and a refillable water bottle. If you cannot attend this PSRY course, you must reach out to the CO to request an excusal.

Spring FTX: The Spring FTX is coming up May 10-12th. Click Here to Signup! Signup deadline is 24th April (no exceptions). All cadets must attend at least one FTX per year, but it’s better to come on more than one!

The weather promises to be spring/summer-like, all that you will require beyond the standard kit (a list is provided on the signup page) is sleeping stuff (sleeping bag or blankets), and a pillow…we will provide the food, accommodations, training and FUN!!! For More Information Click Here!
