📢 Monday December 17th

The Squadron phone tree is now operational. If you do not receive a phone call during the week from a senior cadet in your flight, please inform your Flight Commander.

Cadet Name Tag Order: Name tags for new cadets will be ordered for the new year. If you would like to purchase a replacement or an extra, please fill out this form and bring your money to CV Préfontaine at the Christmas Dinner. More details available on the form. If you are a new cadet who has never received a name tag, you do not need to order one (unless you want an extra).

There will be a Drill Team practice this Saturday (15 Dec) from 0900-1100hrs at the Armoury.

The Range practice initially scheduled for this Saturday (15 Dec) has been cancelled.

There will be a Band practice this Sunday (16 Dec) from 1800-2100hrs at the Armoury.

Monday, December 17th is our Christmas Dinner! Please do not wear your uniform. Instead, we encourage all cadets to dress in semi-formal and cadet appropriate clothing.

The dinner will take place at the Ferndale Banquet Hall on December 17th. Doors open at 17:30 and the dance will conclude at 22:00. We need to confirm numbers for our catering service, so if you can attend (this event is mandatory), please sign up here.

Please ensure that all Christmas stockings are returned to FSgt Samuels at the Christmas Dinner (17 Dec – this Monday) as this is the latest they can be brought in. Thank you to everyone who filled a stocking!

PopSockets: If you ordered one, it will be available for pickup on Monday. Make sure you bring your money if you haven’t paid yet. Extra PopSockets will also be available for purchase even if you haven’t ordered one. Please see WO2 Préfontaine.

Do you still have OPC tickets? We want all OPC tickets returned before the Christmas break! Please bring them back at the Christmas Dinner!

102 Kit Shop: The kit shop will be open at the Christmas dinner. The kit shop is the perfect place to get that last minute gift for your cadet!

Effective Speaking: There will be an information meeting on December 19th. See calendar for details.

Squadron Newsletter: Beginning in January, 102 Squadron will be publishing a newsletter either bi-weekly or monthly. We will be looking for cadet suggestions and contributions for newsletter content. Stay tuned for more information and for your chance to get featured!

Monday night parades are mandatory, and attendance is required to successfully complete level training and be considered for promotions. If you cannot attend a parade night, make sure to excuse yourself by emailing attendance@102squadron.com as far in advance as possible.
