Announcements – Monday, October 2nd 2017

The dress for Monday, October 2nd  will be C2-B.

Our first gliding day of this year will be this Saturday, September 30th @ CFB Borden. Sign up here. Drop-off: Armouries @ 1145. Pick-up: Armouries @ 1645. HEALTH CARDS ARE MANDATORY. The list of who is going will be published Wednesday night on the website. More info available on the sign-up.

If you have not had your parents sign your validation form, they MUST come in and sign it next Monday.

Please wash all clothing items before returning them to supply.

Tagging! 102 Squadron will have its first tagging weekend of this year October 20th to 22nd. Tagging is our primary fundraiser and helps us do many fun and exciting events throughout the training year. All cadets are required to complete a minimum of 3 shifts. Shift timings may be found on the website and the sign-up sheet. Sign-up here!

Interested in music? Want to play in a cadet marching band? The Tri-Service band is looking for new members. Everyone is welcome, even if you have minimal musical experience. Sign up here. Sign-ups will close Saturday at noon.

Drill team will be starting next Friday night (October 6th). More details to follow next Monday.

Monday night parades are mandatory and attendance is factored into level passing and promotions. If you cannot attend a parade night, make sure to excuse yourself by emailing

Gliding List

This list represents the cadets who have signed up and been selected to go gliding on Saturday September 30th, 2017.
TIMINGS: Be at the Armouries (WITH HEALTH CARD), no later than 1145 hrs. We will be returning to the Armouries at 1700 hrs.
FOOD/WATER: Please be sure to have eaten lunch and bring snacks, water and money for the snack bar.
DRESS: Civilian, casual and appropriate for style and weather. You will be outdoors all afternoon so please wear sunscreen and have a jacket for the weather. (it is 3-6 degrees cooler while in flight)
ACTIVITIES: You will have ample time to play frisbee, soccer, football, read etc. Please bring the activities with you while you are waiting your turn to fly.
All cadets are expected to travel to and from gliding by bus, except for Critch (depart at 1500 hrs with parents) and Chirita, Dino (arrive by 1300 hrs with parents) at Hangar 19 on Hangar Road, CFB Borden (grey and blue hangar).

To all level fours and fives who signed up but are not on the list, you are invited to come and may have the opportunity to fly if time permits.
