Announcements for Monday, November 28th

The dress for Monday, November 28th will be C2.

REMINDER TO ALL CADETS, if you have a 75th anniversary pin, you are to wear it up until December 31st. For pin placement, check this PDF. Make sure to have your pin on your tunic for next Monday.

Reminder to level 4’s, you will be teaching next Monday, make sure you have all of your training aids. Contact CI St. Jean – – if you have any questions.

For information regarding the Legion Medal of Excellence and how to apply for it, talk to CV Malichen Reid via email – – or on Monday.

If you are interested in applying for a National Summer Training Camp, please contact WO2 Power via email – – before next Monday. If you would like to apply for a staff position at a Summer Training Camp, please contact WO2 Benoit – – before next Monday.

There will be no drill team practice or ground school on Friday. Enjoy the weekend off.

Our squadron forms up at 18:30hrs sharp on Monday so please have your cadet at the armouries for 18:15hrs at the latest.

Monday night parades are mandatory and attendance is factored into level passing and promotions. If you cannot attend a parade night, make sure to excuse yourself by emailing

Announcements for Monday, November 14th

All level 1’s and 2’s are to meet at City Hall for 18:30pm in full uniform (C2 ROUTINE TRAINING DRESS ) or black paints, white shirt and black tie if you do not have a uniform. We will be walking back from city hall to the armouries around 20:30 so bring appropriate outer wear for the walk back, cadet parka and gloves for those cadets in uniform or appropriate civilian warm jacket, gloves and hat if no uniform. Cadets it is your responsibility to dress warmly for the occasion.

Dress for Monday, November 14th will be C2.

The Fall FTX will be this weekend (Nov 18th – Nov 20th). More information and signups can be found here. YOU MUST SIGNUP ASAP IF YOU WISH TO ATTEND.

There will be no flying scholarship or drill team this Friday (November 18th)

If you are interested in learning more about the Duke of Ed Award please see this PDF file. If you decide that you’d like to register you must register and pay online ($31 fee). If you are unable to pay online please see Mrs. Sarah Horner on Monday night to discuss options. Details and more information regarding next steps will be shared on the squadron website in the coming weeks.

Any cadets who participated in the 2016 Remembrance Day parade is eligible for community hours (you need 40 to graduate!). Please see Captain Carman or Captain Reid on Monday to sign your forms. There will also be a letter handed out to cadets who participated to bring to school in order to excuse them for the missed time.

Reminder to bring in your completed OPC books.

Announcements for Monday, November 7th

The dress for Monday, November 7th will remain the same (C2-B). However, we ask all cadets to bring their tunic and tie on Monday so we can look over their uniforms and give them tips to ensure they look the best they can for the Remembrance Day parade. Please bring your tunic on a hanger and make sure your name is on the inside so you don’t lose it!

Parents and cadets please check the website as all training activities for the rest of the year have been added. This way cadets and parents can plan ahead. There may be the odd surprise but you will still get time to plan. You can also subscribe to this calendar (in the bottom right) so you never miss out on an event!


Announcements for Monday, October 31st

This Monday will be an optional cadet night, however, we will still be having lots of fun! Make sure to stop by before or after you go out trick or treating to enjoy the festivities. Also, remember to bring your best costume! If you plan on attending, please fill out this Google form.

There will be a movie playing, music blasting, pumpkins being carved, apples being bobbed for, board games and tons more! If you bring in a non-perishable food item, you get to throw a “Whipped Cream Pie” in a warrant officer’s face! All food will be donated to the Barrie food drive! Note to seniors: please arrive at 6:00pm to help setup.

If you cannot attend the fun-filled cadet night, we hope you have an amazing Halloween weekend and look forward to seeing you on Friday, November 4th at Trillium Woods Elementary school @ 7:00pm sharp for the Cadet Fitness Assessment. Please wear appropriate civilian fitness wear. Bring a water bottle and a pen or pencil! Cadets are reminded to bring clean, indoor shoes to keep the gym looking nice! The assessment should conclude around 9:30pm.

A reminder to book off the November 18th, 19th and 20th weekend for our Fall Field Training Exercise at Woodlandtrails Scout Camp located in Whitchurch-Stouffville.

Level 5 meeting: Friday – 8:30 until 9:00 @ Trillium Woods

Monday, October 31st will be a cadet night. We will be having a fun, optional night in appropriate civilian attire. The festivities will begin at 6:30pm and conclude around 9:15pm. For the new recruits who would like to be fitted out for a uniform, our supply will be open on the 31st to do so.

OPC books have been handed out to all cadets in level’s 2-5 and each cadet is responsible for their book.
